Wood Beyond the Floor: Vecchie Travi as a Vertical Wall Covering

Why limit wood to the floor?

In interior design, wood is often associated with walkable surfaces, but its expressive power can go far beyond them. In this project, we chose to bring wood onto the walls, transforming a vertical surface into an architectural element capable of defining the atmosphere of the entire room.

Our Vecchie Travi from the Memory Collection, with their timeworn texture and authentic traces of the past, become a tactile backdrop that envelops the sleeping area and enhances the sense of depth within the space.

The result is a wall that is not simply a covering, but a statement of character, presence and history: a three-dimensional, warm and authentic surface where every plank preserves the distinctive marks of the material from which it originated.

A bold design choice that interprets wood in an unexpected way, showing how its expressive qualities can move beyond the boundaries of the floor to become an integral part of architecture and interior design.

A different way of experiencing wood.
