There is something deeply ancestral about sleeping wrapped in wood. In this project, Vecchie Travi go beyond their traditional role as flooring to become pure architecture, climbing up the walls in a seamless solution that dissolves the boundaries of the room and redefines the very concept of living space.
The flooring flows uninterrupted from the bedroom to the bathroom, creating a natural and coherent continuity. Deep grain patterns, irregular knots and the marks of time become the protagonists of every surface, telling an authentic story made of lived material and memory. Wood is no longer merely a covering, but a sensory element that engages both sight and touch, making spaces intimate, warm and unexpectedly contemporary.
This design choice goes beyond aesthetics. It expresses an idea of home in which nature is not a simple complement, but the very structure of living. The weathered texture of Vecchie Travi interacts with natural light, transforming even the bathroom into a space of wellbeing, where the authenticity of the material delivers an immediate sense of balance and comfort.
A project that shows how design, when it respects and enhances material, can release its full expressive power. Here, wood does not decorate: it builds emotions, defines volumes, and shapes a new way of experiencing space.
