An elegant Venetian villa sets the scene for this project.
Once the summer residence of the Doges of Venice, the villa belongs to the timeless landscape of the Riviera del Brenta — a place where Venetian nobility would retreat during the hottest months, seeking fresher air and quieter surroundings away from the lagoon.
Today, the residence has been carefully restored, preserving its historic identity while reinterpreting the interiors through a refined contemporary sensibility. Historic terrazzo floors, stone elements, exposed beams and wrought-iron staircases create a harmonious dialogue between past and present, between memory and contemporary living.
At the centre of the project lies our Memory Collection – Vecchie Travi Naturalizzate, installed in a 90° herringbone pattern.
The Naturalizzato lacquering treatment was developed with a precise intention: to rebalance the wood’s originally warm tones, softening stronger chromatic contrasts and guiding the material towards a more contemporary expression.
The result is a surface that feels warm yet neutral, rich yet balanced.
A finish that preserves the full material depth of Vecchie Travi — knots, marks of time and natural variations — while offering a softer and more elegant palette, perfectly aligned with contemporary interiors.
Some architectures do not simply withstand time.
They absorb it.
