A challenge across the ocean. No site visit. Millimetric precision.

Scala sospesa

Delivering a complex project thousands of miles away, without ever stepping on site, is a challenge that demands absolute precision, technical expertise, and strong mutual trust.

This suspended staircase, created in Miami (USA), is a perfect example. A project that breaks away from convention: no standard structure, no traditional cladding solutions. Every phase required a bespoke approach, from design to production.

Working remotely—especially across different measurement systems—means every millimeter matters. In this context, collaboration with the design studio proved essential: the accuracy and quality of the measurements provided made it possible to transform a concept on paper into a flawless, real-world result.

The outcome is a suspended staircase in American walnut, seamlessly integrated with the flooring to create a refined and harmonious visual continuity. A glass balustrade enhances its lightness, allowing the material and craftsmanship to take center stage.

Behind this project lies the expertise and craftsmanship of the Ideal Legno team—capable of taking on and successfully delivering even the most ambitious challenges, anywhere in the world.

This year, as we celebrate our 50th anniversary, projects like this tell our story best: precision artisans, reliable partners, and interpreters of boundless design visions.
